Hello, my name is Truman Hunt. I'm a native Texan and have lived in Austin for twenty-four years.

I learn by observing and staring at things. I paint images from my dreams, and sometimes I paint with no plan or vision at all. My Paintings are made in several layers and the abstract creative process of digging through these multiple layers of paintings reminds me of what it might be like digging for gemstones and gold buried deep within the earth. I paint until the work feels like a treasure has been unearthed.
