Ashley Cassen's Rosario was inspired by a strict guide from a religious cult, The IBLP (The Institute of Basic Life Principles), of appropriate dress and presentation for women. Cassens set out to create a painting all about freedom, color, and confidence. This piece is bright, beautiful, introspective, and most importantly autonomous.
