Acrylic painter, Sydney Durrett Falkner, developed a love for art as far back as she can remember. After earning a B.A. degree in Interior Design, Sydney discovered the importance of art and the role it plays in order for a space to feel complete. Currently based in Wilmington, NC, Sydney feels most at home on the water with her husband, Cameron, young son Wilson and pup, Sir Raleigh.

Growing up a naturally shy-natured kid, Sydney turned to painting as an outlet to express a soft spoken personality and a free spirit. She views painting as a daily exploration and an opportunity to tell a story. Sydney’s vivid color palette and recognizable style result in bold energetic canvases that express a* joie de vivre* (enjoyment of life).

Sydney welcomes commissions and the opportunity to work with clients on specific paintings for gifts, corporate and public spaces, and residences. In addition, Sydney performs live paintings for weddings and other public events.

Sydney has opened the doors to an online presence and online shop where her art fans can purchase original artworks, fine art prints, and limited-edition products. You can also find more of her original works throughout the Carolina's and in select galleries and retail locations.
