Since 2017 Connor has always been a champion in our hearts.
He manages the laser-craft and delivery of our custom frames. But what you might not know is that he is an avid sports enthusiast whose family eats, breathes, and lives for basketball. In fact- it is the love of basketball that found Connor to Wexel in the first place as he was coaching one of the owner's son's teams. Both Connor and his brother Callaghan have coached, his brother Liam plays professional basketball overseas, and his youngest brother, Shea, just got his moment in the spotlight at Bowie High School's senior night. This is the feel-good video clip of 2020 that we had to share.
Connor loves spending time with his siblings, especially since they are scattered all over the globe.
Over the last 3 years while he has been perfecting his laser skills, he's also been mastering his talent at disc golf. Connor has already gone professional with the sport, though he's not currently on a full time tour. He has a batch of tour fundraiser discs with his custom Big Irish logo on them to raise money to help with his travel and tournament costs. His favorite courses are MetCenter Disc Golf Course and Roy G Guerrero Disc Golf Course.
His nickname is Big Irish and when a disc looks this good, we couldn't resist getting out the silicone glue and putting it in our 12x12 shadowbox.
Oh, and that owner's sons team... he led them to be undefeated, 10-0 and 5A District Champs. Looks like he is a champion all the way around.
